Singer Amaal debuts music video for March release Coming And Going where she takes a tranquil approach to the cycle of life.
The illusory video features only Amaal. Dressed in white, she sings the self-reflective, intimate lyrics surrounded by nature and space. Starting off with birds chirping, a bird poses on Amaal’s arm throughout the video as several fly above.
Amaal and family emigrated from Somalia to Toronto when civil war broke out in their native country in the early 1990s. She began singing at 16 and now in young adulthood, she draws influences from her personal life experiences.
