The New Orleans Pelicans, actually, the Western Conference have been mediocre this season. But I can’t say much, I gave into the hype and said Anthony Davis will win the MVP. I forgot that this is a team game at the end of the day and you need to actually make the Playoffs to even get considered. Not an actual rule but how can you give the MVP to a team that is 11th in their own Conference? At least win the Division.
Anyway, the Pelicans are garbage, they’re seriously inconsistent and at this rate they might have to consider making major trades. Nobody is hooking Anthony Davis up, there is no sufficient number 2. Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry is frustrated by his team and has spoken up.
”Terrible, Terrible, bad effort,” Gentry said after a 104-88 loss to the Suns. ”Not playing hard, not giving a damn, that’s the way I want to sum it up. We didn’t play with effort. We didn’t play together as a team, so nothing worked. Nothing, nothing.”
It’s clear that Anthony Davis needs help, the team he leads isn’t up to it unfortunately. Trades must be done. Davis also responded on the loss.
“We played terrible,” Davis said. “We weren’t competing and we didn’t play hard. They just did whatever they wanted and we acted like we didn’t want to be here.“
That’s the worst thing to see in an NBA game. Players that act like they don’t want to be there. Watching disinterested players is painful to watch. Like I said, I think trades need to be considered.
