ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the deal has about 1 million in incentives while NFL insider Ian Rappaport reports $27 million is guaranteed.
The Eagles seemed to be impressed with Jeffery’s performance enough to hold on to him long term. Alshon was originally signed to a 1 year deal worth $14 million in March this offseason.
In the first 11 games of the year, Jeffery hauled in 43 catches for 619 yards and seven touchdowns. Jeffery has also caught three two-point conversions.
Alshon released this statement;
“First of all I just want to thank Jeffrey Lurie and the entire Eagles organization. Like I said the other day, I love it here. I’m blessed to have the opportunity to play for this organization and for these fans. Everyone has welcomed me with open arms and now I’m looking forward to being here for a long time. We have a great group here and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
Carson Wentz also seemed to approve of his new long-term teammate.
