On Friday, January 24, 2025, MSNBC revealed Alex Wagner would host new podcast called Trumpland. The limited series will reportedly follow Wagner and her reporting from Capitol Hill “as she follows the biggest political stories from Washington and across the country and the impact of Trump’s early promises and policies on the electorate.”
“Following Inauguration Day, Wagner hits the road to meet with key figures shaping this critical moment in American politics to bring viewers a 360-degree view of what’s happening both at home and abroad now that Trump is once again President of the United States. The first episode complements Wagner’s recent on-air reporting outside of the DC jail where she spoke with crowds gathered in support of pardoning those charged in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, along with former DC police officer, Michael Fanone who reacted to the news of President Trump’s pardons,” a press release from MSNBC states.
“During the last 100 days of the 2024 presidential campaign, Wagner served as MSNBC’s eyes on the ground for key political events that defined the 2024 election, including the 2024 Democratic National Convention and consequential presidential debates.”
Trumpland joins the network’s growing slate of podcasts, including Trymaine Lee’s Into America, Andrew Weissmann and Mary McCord’s Main Justice and Chris Hayes’s Why is the Happening?
As Wagner steps away from the desk and heads into the booth, Rachel Maadow will return to the studio. The popular anchor will host shows five days each week during Trump’s first 100 days in office.
