This Friday has turned out to be one of the most hectic release dates of the year. Leading the way, Freddie Gibbs, Lil’ Yachty and NLE Choppa all dropped new projects. Alongside them, G Herbo dropped the deluxe edition of PTSD. Not to mention, 6LACK, Gucci Mane, Scott Storch, Saint Jhn and many others released new music. Joining the exciting weekend of releases, Chicago’s Lucki has dropped a new project called Almost There.
Despite having no features, the Chicago native holds listener’s attention for the full half hour of music. One of the high points of the project comes on “It’s Bool” where he discusses some of the temptations he faces as younger artist looking to get his life on the right track.
“Thought I was done with drugs, now you want some from me/Flawless Lucki, how much more of tax/But I thought love was free/Skippin’ town, karma on my back, why she stalkin’ me,” he raps.
