It’s been a special year for Memphis rapper, Blocboy JB. Earlier this year, the Memphis native caught the eye of many with the popularization of the “Shoot” dance and his remix of “Look Alive” featuring Drake. Today, the rapper took the next step in his career with the release of his latest full-length project, SIMI. The project comes on the heels of his Who I Am Series. The eighteen track project features a large number of solo tracks from Blocboy JB, but there are a few guest appearances from Drake, Lil’ Pump, 21 Savage, YG and Moneybagg Yo. The project also features production from the likes of Ben Billions and Tay Keith, who produced “Look Alive”, and Blocboy JB himself.

Prior to putting out the project, Blocboy JB released singles like the smash hit, “Look Alive” featuring Drake and “Rover 2.0” featuring 21 Savage. Blocboy JB also put out visuals for both songs and will definitely be looking to put out more in the near future. Earlier last week, the “Look Alive” artist became the latest in a long line of emcees to test out the “Who Run It” challenge.
