As May 4th is merely less than a week away, anticipation rises for the C-Squad as Ciara’s 6th album, Jackie, will be released to the world. Having lead the album’s campaign off with the heart-felt, ‘I Bet’, just this week, Ciara changed gears and release a the mid-tempo, dance-floor ready, ‘Dance Like We’re Making Love‘. With the 2 records out for the world to hear, many fans were even more eager to hear just which direction Ciara is going with, Jackie. Well, we now have a much better indication as the album’s snippets have been released. Surprisingly, or expected to some, Ciara has taken a turn towards the Pop direction for her newest LP.
Slightly a far cry from her previous album, Ciara, it seems as if Ciara wanted to take things up a few notches with the material on the album. From the snippets alone, some standouts are, ‘Lullaby’, which holds major crossover potential, ‘Give Me Love’, and ‘Kiss & Tell’, but that all could change once the material is available in full. In any event, it’s great to see Ciara experimenting with different sounds and refusing to be stagnant with 1 specific genre. Ciara’s new album, Jackie, will be available worldwide on May 4th.
