On March 9, Adidas announced the dates for the 2017 edition of the annual Adidas Eurocamp. This will be the 15th Adidas Eurocamp, the only NBA licensed pre-draft camp that takes place outside of the United States. It will take place at the La Ghirada Sports Complex in Treviso, Italy from June 9-11. The camp is the best showcase of international talent alongside a culmination of former and current NBA coaches and players.
The full rosters for this year’s Eurocamp will be announced in may. The showcase will feature two under-18 Adidas USA Select teams and a Slovenia under-20 men’s national team.
The showcase will feature the same coaching director as last year’s showcase, Bill Bayno of the Indiana Pacers. He will lead an incredible staff that is loaded with fellow NBA assistant coaches, Nick Nurse of the Toronto Raptors, Ed Pinckney of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Kaleb Canales of the Dallas Mavericks, Chris Finch of the Denver Nuggets, Eric Hughes of the Milwaukee Bucks, Jim Boylen of the Chicago Bulls and David Adelman of the Orlando Magic. Another returning staff member will be camp director, Maurizio Gherardini, who is the general manager of Fenerbahce Istanbul.
Current NBA players – Danilo Gallinari, Brandon Ingram, Dragan Bender, Thon Maker, Jaylen Brown, Goran Dragic and Serge Ibaka – all participated in the Adidas Eurocamp. The 2016 Adidas Eurocamp featured four Division I players and five players from Euroleague clubs.
