Every game that Team USA have we all see a brand new wave of people shouting negative comments on why NBA players are even bothering to play for Team USA. And in a post by ESPN.com, Adam Silver nips everything in the bud.
“It is a big risk without enormous financial reward,” Silver said when asked about a sentiment shared by outspoken Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.
“I’ll only reiterate that ultimately it is a personal decision for these players,” Silver said. “I should point out that it is not just U.S. players we are referring to. Collectively we have close to 50 NBA players participating in this World Cup on behalf of their national teams.“
You people are so spoilt. You have the best basketball players in the world willingly playing for your country and you continue to whine. I’m English! You think I wouldn’t want several transcendent basketball players playing for my country? Paul George’s injury was a freak accident. Yes it’s a damn shame but if they want to play for your country, who are you to make decisions for them?!
