Summer League may have been a tougher journey than expected for Aaron White, but on the last offensive play for the Wizards, he did what was needed for him to make the regular season roster; he made a 3-pointer. Washington was already losing by so much that it did not have any effect on the game, but at least it can build some confidence for the big man going into the heart of the offseason.

Whether he plays in Washington or overseas next season, being able to consistently hit 3-pointers would be a huge plus for White’s game. As teams all across the world are looking to stretch out the floor like the Warriors did while winning an NBA title, big men who can shoot are needed all over the place.
White has to hit the open 3-pointer on a much more consistent basis than he did in this year’s Summer League if he doesn’t want to be pulled out of the game by his coach for missing it. He knows what is needed, and it is a guarantee he will make hitting these shots a more regular occurence through workouts throughout the rest of the offseason.
