Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers won the AP Most Valuable Player Award during Thursday’s ceremony of the NFL Honors. This is his fourth trophy after winning it also in 2011, 2014, and 2020. He is now second all-time just behind Peyton Manning, who won it five times.

Rodgers joins an elite group with Jim Brown, Joe Montana, Brett Favre, and Peyton Manning as the players in league history to win the MVP award in consecutive seasons. Statistically, he led the league in passer rating at 111.9, posted a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 37-4, the third-highest in a single season.
“The latest one always feels the sweetest,” Rodgers said. “So many great memories from the season and great guys I got to play with.”
Rodgers received 39 votes out of 50 and the rest were distributed between Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, with 10, and the winner of Offensive Player of the Year Award Cooper Kupp with one vote.
Rodgers led the Packers to first seed of the NFC for the second season in a row.
