Aaron Gordon and Zach LaVine combined for one of the greatest dunk contests of all time last season. Fans were treated to a show as the two put down jaw-dropping dunks.
For LaVine, it was the second straight stupefying dunk contest. The Minnesota Timberwolves guard has made a name for himself as the best dunker in the game. He even received high praise from an all-time great in Dr. J who called him the best dunker since Vince Carter.
Gordon’s dunk contest effort was an introduction to the NBA. The Orlando Magic forward announced his athleticism to the world with unique slams that seemed to defy gravity.
While the two may have sparked the next great dunk contest rivalry, they’re finding some time to team up as well.
In the newest Nike commercial, LaVine and Gordon team up for another spectacular dunk. This time, it’s Gordon throwing a behind-the-back alley-oop to LaVine, soaring off the top of a moving car to slam it home.
Honestly, the last shot makes it seem like Zach LaVine is going to be just short of dunking it home. But then again, we’ve seen crazier things from this duo. The name of the campaign is “Unlimited Airtime,” so the task seems all the more likely
