Gordon doesn’t think Durant was cautious enough with his injury.
Aaron Gordon and Kevin Durant have something in common: they both suffered foot injuries this season. Gordon’s fracture happened in November, leading him to miss 32 games, and Durant’s initial fracture was confirmed in October, leading him to miss the next 17 games, and now Durant is shut down for the season.
Gordon had this to day on SiriusXM NBA Radio about his thoughts on how Durant’s injury timetable was handled:

Durant might have returned too soon, before the injury was completely healed, but Gordon’s assertion would call into question the Oklahoma City Thunder training staff as well as Durant’s own judgment. There’s just as likely a chance that Durant just felt good enough to play and the discomfort re-surfaced. Even though Gordon and Durant share common injuries, it doesn’t mean they’ll react to them the same way.

Gordon’s perspective holds clout because of his experience but every situation is uniquely different. Durant now has a wide gap of time to make sure his injury stays recovered.
