
Eighty-seven people were arrested and charged with felonies during a Tuesday afternoon protest at Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s house. Demonstrators congregated at Cameron’s house to demand that the officers responsible for Breonna Taylor’s death be arrested.
“Due to their refusal to leave the property and their attempts to influence the decision of the Attorney General with their actions, each person was charged with Intimidating a Participant in a Legal Process (Class D felony), Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree (Class B misdemeanor), and Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree. (Violation),” the Louisville Metro Police Department stated.
Of those 87 people arrested was Maryland native YBN Cordae. The Grammy nominee was caught on video being handcuffed and escorted off the property.

“The stated goal of today’s protest at my home was to escalate,” Cameron said.
“That is not acceptable and only serves to further division and tension within our community. Justice is not achieved by trespassing on private property, and it’s not achieved through escalation. It’s achieved by examining the facts in an impartial and unbiased manner. That is exactly what we are doing and will continue to do in this investigation,” he added.
Taylor was killed in her Louisville apartment on March 13, 2020. Officers executed a “no-knock” warrant in search of two men wanted on drug charges. Under the impression that the officers were breaking into the apartment, Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, fired shots at the potential intruders. In response, the officers fired more than 20 rounds at Walker and Taylor. No charges have been filed against any of the officers involved.
