It appears the Philadelphia 76ers are going through the final stages of their ‘process’. They recently hired historic NBA executive Jerry Colangelo, with some help from the NBA and Adam Silver, as the chairman of basketball operations. Although it was reported that Sam Hinkie could be shown the door soon, it appears that the contrary will occur. In fact, Hinkie might be looking towards ending the losing.
One step towards successful days is avoiding off-court issues, something 76ers rookie big man Jahlil Okafor hasn’t apparently learned yet. The third overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft has been involved in a handful of incidents recently including the most notable being his involvement in two seperate assaults in one night in Boston.
So it might be time for Philly to make a drastic and dramatic change to their roster and get the youth in the right mindset. First step could be getting a player in Elton Brand to come out of retirement and mentor the young big man.

That’s one change you can expect under Jerry Colangelo, and possibly before Christmas. The Sixers are going to sign another veteran to guide the flock. Keep an eye on Elton Brand.
Bringing Elton Brand back out of retirement to play a similar role that Kevin Garnett is playing in Minnesota, minus the starting, could be tremendous for the young big men the 76ers possess. Primarily, this idea has Jahlil Okafor’s name attached to it. The vision the 76ers have is to partner the grizzles vet with the young star based off the Dunk connection alone. This might be ‘The Call’ brand is looking for.
