Joel Embiid is out for another season. That’s part of a College season and will now go up to two whole NBA seasons. Just think about that. That is a lot of missed games, he still hasn’t participated in an NBA game!
But for some reason, the Philadelphia 76ers and the fans aren’t sweating at all. All I see is ‘Trust the Process’. You do know that Greg Oden at least put some games in? But hold on everybody, the Sixers expect Embiid back in October. October 2016.
Talking to my sources, they want to see him return around October – not this October, but the next October, for that season. And he may not even return for the start of that season. He may miss a couple games. But that’s their goal.
Now in that conversation, Marc Narducci and Keith Pompey were talking about chances of Embiid never playing, ever. The fact it’s a conversation is harrowing to be honest. Because when he was in Kansas, man did he look exciting. The potential was oozing off him. And now, he’s had more surgeries than games played. It’s just sad to be honest and I can’t help but to give the Sixers a bit of blame.
