Joel Embiid is back to square one, rehabilitating. Damn it must be annoying for him. But then again the team allowed him to do ‘through the leg’ dunks so, call that karma if you will.
No I’m not saying the dunks were the reason for it, but it’s a tad arrogant when you do that and your injury is foot based you know.
So as we know, Embiid had surgery on Tuesday and now he begins recovery once again. My BFF and GM of the Sixers Sam Hinkie is still delusional. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. In a conference call with the press, he expressed his optimism for Embiid.
“I’m optimistic. The doctors that operated on him yesterday are, too.…
Do you have reason to be concerned? Of course…. I asked (one of the surgeons, Dr. Richard) Ferkel if he re-broke this thing what would’ve happened. He said he would’ve heard a pop like last time. Joel said no. It’d be terribly painful. He pushed on the navicular bone and Jo said it didn’t hurt at all.”
“We are focused on these first six or 10 weeks (after surgery) right now. Then we will get to that next phase… No one wants to be second-guessing this a year from now or 10 years from now or four years from now.”
So we’re not going to talk about the re-breaking of the injury that shouldn’t have happened? Just going to act like the past year never went down? Alright.
