Elton Brand had a long and underappreciated NBA career; 1999’s no. 1 overall pick spent 17 years in the league, five of which with the Philadelphia 76ers, before retiring in 2016. Brand has served as Sixers’ player development consultant since December of 2016.
As a player, Brand was a two-time All-Star and made Second Team All-NBA in a spectacular 2005-06 season during which he submitted per-game averages of 24.7 points, 10 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game.
For his career, Brand averaged 15.9 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game.
