You could say Curtis 50 Cent has got a pretty full plate right now. On top of Starz’ hit show Power, which he serves as executive producer on, it was announced last fall that he had signed a multi-series deal with Starz. Then, earlier this year, ABC ordered two different pilots from the rapper.
Well now, according to his Instagram, 50 Cent will also be producing a series based on NYC’s infamous Sex Money Murder Gang. In the post, he revealed that Oscar-winning producer Nicole Rocklin will be producing the series with him. Check out the post below:
According to XXL, Sex Money Murder rose to prominence in the Soundview section of the Bronx as a Blood sect in the 1980s. They were known to sell narcotics and brutally deal with any rivals during their truncated run on the streets. Sex Money Murder was led by Peter ‘Pistol Pete’ Rollack. In the early 2000s, Pistol Pete was charged with seven murders and sentenced to life without parole for in federal prison.
No cast information or release date have been revealed for the series, which will draw from Jonathan Green’s 2018 book Sex Money Murder: A Story of Crack, Blood, and Betrayal.
