Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Mary J. Blige are teaming up to produce a new series called Family Affair. The new series will follow the story of a former R&B star whose life is turned upside down when he must raise his sister’s four kids. However, things change when he learns that his nephews and nieces possess his musical gifts as well.
Devon and Ranada Shepard will write and produce the series. Alongside Jackson and Blige, Bruce Miller, David Blackman, Noah Rosenberg and Daniel Inkeles will executive produce the series as well. G-Unit Productions and ABC Signature will power the series.
Jackson’s G-Unit Production has been hard at work within the last two years. Under his leadership, Jackson’s production imprint has wrapped up Power, promoted multiple spin-offs, produced For Life and developed the upcoming BMF series.
Blige has also experienced success in the television industry. She currently stars in Power Book II: Ghost and her production imprint, Blue Butterfly, produced The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel.
There is no word as to when the series will begin production.
