A move that many expected but didn’t think would happen, has actually happened. Aldon Smith has been arrested for DUI recently by the Santa Clara police department for the third time. Although Smith denies that there was any DUI involved with the incident and the full details of what actually happened has yet to be released, it appears the San Fransisco 49ers have officially reached the end of their rope.
They will be releasing former All-Pro linebacker Aldon Smith.

Smith was arrested early this morning and charged with DUI, vandalism and Hit and Run. While the full details of the arrest have not been officially released yet, the 49ers have apparently had enough.
It appears third time is not the charm and Smith will be released from his contract with the Niners. He had restructured his deal with the team to be a bonus-based salary for the final year of his deal but before he could receive one payment from it, he will be let go of his deal with the team.
Smith was willing to be on himself coming into this season and it appears that bet has not paid off for him. He’s just the recent big name player to depart from the 49ers once historic organization.
