Former Vice President Joe Biden is the man of the hour in New York. Following in the footsteps of both Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton, Biden has locked up nearly 30 electoral votes from the state of New York.
Ironically, President Donald Trump is a native of New York. In 2016, he lost the state to a fellow New Yorker in Hilary Clinton. However, he lost the Big Apple to Pennsylvania native this time around.
Much of tonight’s results have moved forward as expected. Trump has taken home strongholds like Kentucky, Alabama and Indiana. Meanwhile, Biden has come home with wins in predictable states like Maryland, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
As the night progresses, much of the country will turn its attention towards Ohio, North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Florida and Arizona. Unfortunately, many voters well past their bed times to receive results from those battleground states.
