President Donald Trump has was walked away victorious in the state of Kentucky. The Wildcat state supported the 45th President back in 2016. He emerged with all of the state’s eight electoral votes. He also walked away with more than 60% of the popular vote as well.
Trump is expected to pick up a number of states across the southeast. He is a heavy favorite in Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina. However, tipping point states like Georgia, Florida and North Carolina remain up for grabs.
Moving forward, the President will set his sights towards North Carolina. North Carolin is one of the handful of states that is expected to tip the election. An emergency ruling allowed for four polling locations in the Tar Heel state to stay open until 7:30 p.m. Results from the swing state will begin to trickle in at 8:15 p.m. ET. The White House will look closely at those results as a predictor for the rest of the night.
