Last summer, Nipsey Hussle made a grand entrance at the 2018 BET Awards. Shortly thereafter, he hopped on stage with YG to open up the award show. Not to mention, he earned a nomination for his last album, Victory Lap. This year, Nipsey Hussle’s presence will be even greater. To honor the life and legacy of the California philanthropist, his friends, family and colleagues have gathered together to put on a special tribute at the 2019 BET Awards.
During the 2019 BET Awards, DJ Khaled, YG and John Legend took the stage to pay tribute to Nipsey Hussle. Marsha Ambrosius opened up things with a performance of “Real Big.” Following her, YG took the stage to perform his verse on “Last Time I Checc’d.” Closing out the performance, John Legend joined DJ Khaled to performer “Higher” off of Father of Asahd.
