The 2017 NBA All-Star game had a ton of drama surrounding it but the actual game is one of the best in recent memory. While the lack of defense is still an issue for some, the stars still all came out and did some serious scoring in record fashion.
Besides the points explosion, the plays during the game featured some insane dunks, deep threes and a duo coming back together with one simple alley-oop.
For the Eastern Conference, the usual stars shined like LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Isaiah Thomas and the Raptors duo of Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan but also, the Greek Freak Giannis Antetokounmpo made his mark early on. And he also capped off his night by dunking on the two-time reigning NBA MVP, Stephen Curry.
On the West side, all the eyes were on the drama between Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant and what would happen between the two. Luckily, the pair calmed any potential issues early on followed by a fantastic celebration from the Western Conference bench. Oh yea, Pelicans star Anthony Davis also set the NBA All-Star single game scoring record in the process.
