
During 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend, the 2017 Basketball Hall of Fame nominees were announced. Headliners nominated included Tracy McGrady, Chris Webber, Rebecca Lobo, Rollie Massimo, Muffet McGraw, Bo Ryan, Bill Self and Rudy Tomjanovich.
The official class for the 2017 Basketball Hall of Fame was selected today ahead of the NCAA Final Four in Phoenix. The list of those who will be enshrined in the fall are below, as announced by the Basketball Hall of Fame.

Tracy McGrady is one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history. He led the NBA in scoring in consecutive seasons in 2002-03 and 2003-04 as a member of the Orlando Magic. He was a seven-time NBA All-Star and averaged 19.6 points per game during a 15-year NBA career with the Magic, Toronto Raptors, Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks, Atlanta Hawks Hawks and San Antonio Spurs. T-Mac is currently a member of ESPN’s NBA coverage.
Bill Self is currently a head coach for the Kansas Jayhawks and he has won 13 consecutive Big 12 regular-season titles and also won a national title in 2008. He has been a head coach at Oral Roberts, Tulsa, Illinois and Kansas, and has a career mark of 623-193. Self is 416-88 in 14 seasons with the Jayhawks.
Rebecca Lobo led UConn to the 1995 national championship and was a gold medalist for Team USA in 1996. She also was an All-Star in the WNBA in 1999 as a member of the New York Liberty. Lobo is currently a reporter and color analyst for ESPN with a focus on women’s college basketball and WNBA games.
Jerry Krause will be posthumously selected to the 2017 Basketball Hall of Fame just a few days after his death. Krause was the general manager for the Chicago Bulls during their dynasty in the 90’s and also spent time through his career as a scout in the MLB.
