The 68th Primetime Emmy Awards showcased a fresh depth of talent in the field. Nomination leaders Game of Thrones and The People vs. O.J. Simpson won a combined 21 awards, respectively. Thrones, the second consecutive Best Drama Series winner, made Emmys history by passing Frasier with a total of 38 Emmys.
Other shows such as Mr. Robot, Transparent, and Bloodline made their marks in the individual categories. We saw some first-time winners like Rami Malek, Sterling K. Brown, and Kate McKinnon, who won Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her work on Saturday Night Live, becoming the first SNL member to win that category since Gilda Radner in 1978.
See the full list of the winners at the 2016 Emmys below in bold.
