After the crazy events in Philly. You know the night got better…
Since this was a day full of beast performances I thought I should shine a light on said people.
Kevin Love: This guy is a double double machine! No wonder he’s so highly rated in fantasy leagues! He’s just a double double waiting to happen! 31 points and 17 rebounds after the OT win over the Magic.
Ricky Rubio: He is also a double double threat every game. Not a sure thing like Love but he’s close. 11 assists to pull out the 1-0.
Greg Monroe: All through preseason I was hyping all about Andre Drummond and he was worthy. The kid led the preseason in rebound average! But in this win against the Wizards it was Greg Monroe 24 points, 16 rebounds. I’m telling you. Detroit are something else.
Carmelo Anthony: Melo was Melo plus 10 rebounds. Now add some assists on top of that and we’ve got a legit MVP candidate. I mean he is already but to win it. He needs more than just points. And we’ve seen glimpses of that already.
Tyson Chandler: I think it’s worth to mention that Chandler had a decent day… You know 10 points, 6 rebounds, 5 BLOCKS. You know Chandler is a machine. He keeps trucking along every season and you know he’s gonna keep being the beast on the block for the Orange & Blue.
Dwight Howard: I think Dwight is ready… I think getting 26 REBOUNDS speaks volumes about how ready he is. Man that guy is a tank. Tying your career high in your first Regular season game as a Rocket? Man…
Paul George: The fight is officially on for dominance in the East and Paul George with 32 points. Makes the statement “Indiana is ready”. With his leadership I think they’re a lock in for 3rd seed.
Monta Ellis: He’s one of them players that turnover so much (in this case 7) but balances it out with 32 points. I love watching him play. All he needs is consistency.
Kevin Durant: 42 points… Kevin Durant… 42 points. The guy is mental. He’s a spectacle. I think he’ll take back that scoring title… Without doubt. Not just by this game but I don’t see Melo pipping him to the post like last season. This guy is on a mission.
Goran Dragic: He got the job done, 26 points and 9 assists. Lead Phoenix to the win.
Demarcus Cousins: I keep telling you, watch Cousins work. Because if he gets going, he gets GOING. 30 points and 14 rebounds. B.E.A.S.T.
Klay Thompson: Not Curry, not Lee, Klay Thompson is the man. 36 points and a dominant Golden State win over division rivals the LA Lakers.
Special Mentions: Miles Plumlee, San Antonio’s team play, Brook Lopez, Kevin Garnett, Lebron James, Trevor Ariza, Aaron Afflalo, Nikola Vucevic, Anthony Davis, Eric Gordon, Jeff Teague, Lamarcus Aldridge, Damian Lillard and Serge Ibaka.
Most of them had a sick game in a losing effort, some were overshadowed. But they all deserve a mention. Here’s are your Top 10 Plays from a stacked day 2 of the NBA Regular Season.
