The Los Angeles Lakers have struggled mightily with injuries this season, losing important players such as Kobe Bryant and Julius Randle.
The latest injury to strike the already-depleted Lakers is shooting guard Wayne Ellington. Following from NBC Sports’ Brett Pollakoff,
“Lakers guard Wayne Ellington, who was injured in the fourth quarter of last night’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans at STAPLES Center, had an MRI exam today which confirmed a grade 1 shoulder separation. Ellington will miss the remainder of the season.”
Ellington has averaged 10 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists on the season. This has been a disaster of a season for the Lakers, who have just 20 wins with 8 games left to play of the season. For L.A., this season can’t end soon enough.
