Although not a new concept, in recent years, we’ve seen an upward spiral of live-action films being released for our viewing pleasure. In some cases, a lot of these film reintroduce and/or tell the story of childhood classic films & characters. From the likes of Alice In Wonderland to Maleficent, these live-action adaptations have been everything including an instant success. Next up on the list, of many more to come, is Disney’s classic, The Jungle Book. No matter the age, we all know the story of Mowgli and his journey of being an orphan raised in the jungle with the assistance of some of the wild’s most ferocious, or pleasant in this case, creatures. Debuting today, the trailer for the upcoming film partially puts the animated version to shame as if gives a real life feeling to Mowgli’s experience. If the voice in the trailer sounds familiar, that’s because you know that voice very well as Scarlett Johansson, who will play Kaa the snake. The likes of Idris Elba, Bill Murray, Lupita Nyong’o, and playing Mowgli, Neel Sethi, will all lend their voices and acting to the film. Due out in 2016, watch the nearly 2 minute The Jungle Book trailer, below.
