Video from last season’s All-Star Break.
Vince Carter won the dunk contest in 2000, but he still thinks he could win it today. The 19-year-veteran hasn’t competed in the event since, but a recent video did show him throwing down a nice windmill dunk.
From WeDontBluff.Net, transcribed by Sports Illustrated:
“It’s possible,” Carter recently told WeDontBluff.net, when asked if he could still compete in the event. “I don’t know if I’d win, but I think I’d make it interesting, to say the least.”
Vince was one of the most athletic players in the NBA, and he probably can still throw down some nice dunks. Could Vince contend with Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon? Maybe in 2000, but not today. In last season’s dunk contest, both contestants put up amazing scores and went into dunk-offs where they both would receive perfect scores.
