Hassan Whiteside is in a contract year and the young big man out of Marshall is looking to make this his most profitable season of his career.
Whiteside and the Miami Heat welcomed the Minnesota Timberwolves last night in South Beach and although the Heat fell to the young Wolves, 103-91, Whiteside shined for Miami.
Hassan scored 22 points on 10-14 shooting from the field but shot 2-9 from the free throw line, grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked 10 shots on the night for the Heat and he did all he could to keep Miami in the game but the young Wolves trio of Andrew Wiggins, Karl-Anthony Towns and Zach LaVine were too much for Miami.
