Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the biggest young stars in the league. The Milwaukee Bucks’ forward has enamored NBA fans with his athletic ability, length, and do-it-all game. The Greek Freak showed his full ability again on Monday, with a monster performance in a win against the Houston Rockets.
Giannis scored 18 points on 7-11 shooting and compounded that with 17 rebounds, 11 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. This was the first game since at least the 1983-84 season in which a player had at least those numbers. The full-display of abilities gave the Alphabet a +13 on the night, the highest on the Bucks. It was an other-worldly performance that allowed the Bucks to net a huge win at home.
The Bucks have likely dug themselves too big of a hole to climb out of, now sitting 6.5 games behind the 8th seed. Nevertheless, it was a good win for a team looking to build off of a great previous season and a young and talented core.
