Andrew Bogut is a very versatile big man, but he isn’t known for throwing down huge alley-oops like DeAndre Jordan or Blake Griffin. Tonight, he did look just like Jordan and Griffin do, and he threw down a fantastic one-handed slam.
Devin Harris had the ball outside the three-point line. He wasn’t dribbling, but all of a sudden Bogut cut towards the basket as Justin Anderson ran towards the three-point line. This caused confusion by the opposing New York Knicks defense, and Bogut found himself running straight towards the basket. Harris spotted him, and lobbed the ball towards the rim. Bogut caught it and finished the play with one hand to cap off the excellent dunk.
Despite Bogut’s dunk, the Mavs would go on to lose the game. Bogut only scored one other time, finishing with 4 points and 9 boards. Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis finished the game with 24 points each, leading the Knicks to victory. Justin Holiday also added a solid 16 points off of the bench, and they won by a score of 93-77.
