Allen Iverson is the newest member of the Basketball Hall of Fame and the 2016 class he will be inducted with includes Shaquille O’Neal, Yao Ming, Tom Izzo and Sheryl Swoopes making this one of the best classes of all-time.
AI’s career is one to be remembered not only for what he did on the court but what he for the culture of the NBA off the court. Iverson was undoubtedly a player who put it all on the line game after game and he made sure everyone knew that by the way he played. He also was the key part in the NBA’s change in their dress code but before they could show down the AI show, the guard made sure to completely combine the NBA and hip-hop cultures in only the way he could. Iverson’s recent selection to the Hall of Fame means there’s going to be a lot of time for reflection and Iverson has done that recently, stating that one thing he would want to change is his relationship with his former head coach, Larry Brown.
