Kevin Bacon is set to return to the Tremors universe 27 years after the release of the original film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the reboot will take place 25 years after the events of the original film and will see Bacon’s ‘Val Mckee’ take on the graboids once again. It’s currently unknown whether not the rest of the cast including Michael Gross will return for the reboot. Though it could be assumed that if Michael Gross was willing to return for ‘Tremors 4: The Legend Begins’ and ‘Tremors 5: Bloodlines’ he’d probably be open to returning if the money was right. Mega producer Jason Blum (Get Out, Split, The Purge) will be producing the upcoming reboot with Andrew Miller serving as the showrunner. There’s no word yet on when the pilot will begin filming but, with SyFy’s recent rebranding ahead of their 25th anniversary, it’s safe to say that they’ll want to get the ball rolling quickly. Stay tuned for more details as they develop.
