The man whose music took the world by storm in 2011 has been a bit quieter recently. Fans have been left asking “Abel, where are you?!” for most of 2012.
Well, big news broke for Drake’s protégé. The Canadian singer-songwriter has signed a deal with record label, Universal Republic. With the newly-signed contract, The Weeknd’s label- XO- will be a subsidiary of Universal.
Concluding the news, it has been announced that The Weeknd will be re-releasing his mixtapes/EPs (House of Ballons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence) as an album called “Trilogy”. The new album will contain remastered versions of the tracks from the three previous projects. In addition, the LP will contain three completely new unreleased tracks.
“Trilogy” is set to hit stores November 13th.
