Ubisoft has confirmed that there will be a Watch Dogs sequel. To start off 2016, Kotaku reported that Ubisoft would be substituting Watch Dogs 2 in place of Assassin’s Creed since Ubi will be giving Assassin’s Creed developers a year off to develop a new product. Now with Ubisoft recently laying out their 2016-17 fiscal year plans, there were a few games on the lineup with Watch Dogs 2 being one of the few.
Watch Dogs was set in modern-day Chicago and once you finished the story, you’d be introduced to the main character having to flee the city. Kotaku also reported that the sequel will be taking place in San Francisco. Ubisoft didn’t confirm that rumor, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea.
In addition to the games on the current schedule, Yves Guillemot says Ubisoft has a new strong AAA IP that has yet to be announced.
Stay tuned for more from Ubisoft and on Watch Dogs 2.
