Talib Kweli is a legend well in his rights and shame on you if you feel otherwise. SO, when new music appears you should proceed to listen. While on the remaining course of his ‘The Seven’ Tour he has a nice treat for fans, especially those who are Hip-Hop enthusiast and live vicariously through lyricism. Nothing wrong with expecting and wanting lyrical content, that is the basis on which the Hip-Hop culture was built on.
When you factor in Styles P aka The Ghost, we are in for a barrage of lyrics as the two come forth for ‘Last Ones’. Honestly, who got the best of who on this? Hard to choose or should that be the topic of conversation? As far as I am concerned and I am sure Styles and Talib can agree, the objective is try and get the best of whoever is on a record with you.
Regardless of that matter, ‘Last Ones’ is a great example of challenging your peers on the notion of being the last real ones left when it comes to this here thing called rapping.
