Shawty Lo’s music lives on.
In 2016, hip-hop lost Atlanta’s own, Shawty Lo, to a tragic car crash. Lo’s team at 300 Entertainment wants to make sure his legacy lives on with the release of a posthumous album. R.I.C.O. is set to drop this Friday, March 24th, but NPR has given fans an early listen.
The cover art of this project is an image from Shawty Lo’s time as a drug dealer in Bankhead back in the 1990s. R.I.C.O. embodies everything of an up-and-coming trap album in terms of authenticity.
