Power moves are being made in the world of streaming services.
Since its launch, TIDAL has seen it’s fair share of trials and tribulations, which is expected with any new venture. With it’s driving force being the power of exclusives and a handful of music industry heavyweights who co-sign the service, TIDAL is still fighting the good fight and doesn’t look to be throwing in the towel any time soon.
In a new move that was just announced today, via press release, Sprint has shared that they are set to acquire 33% of TIDAL. The partnership will see TIDAL continuing down the road of utilizing exclusive content, among other things, for current and future Sprint customers. While Sprint currently possesses 45 million customers, this new move for TIDAL could prove to be very beneficial in the long run.
Surely, with many more details to come, there will be plenty eyes on both companies to see just how beneficial this will be for all parties involved.
