The rap legend, Snoop Dogg, has decided to bless our ears with yet another project entitled 220. Snoop Dogg took to Twitter last night to announce that he would be dropping a record under the same name as the EP with the added note that there would be new music to follow. The eight-track project features Snoop Dogg being the emcee that we have come to love over the past two and a half decades. With smooth, west coast production from the likes of @MyGuyMars and others, Snoop Dogg appears to be in a zone creatively.

Immediately following the project’s intro track, Snoop immediately dives in with the most star-studded track of the album, “Everything”, featuring Cash Money’s own, Jacquees, and Dreezy. The record’s hypnotic sounds like a California date on the beach. Not to mention, Dreezy stands her own on the soon to be single. Later on, the EP features appearances from October London on “Waves”, Goldie Loc on “220”, Kokane on “Doggytales” and LunchMoney Lewis on “I Don’t Care”.
Clocking in at just under half an hour, the EP’s sound provides a stark contrast from Snoop’s upcoming gospel album, Bible of Love. The album, which is set to be released on March 16th, already has a lead single, “Words Are Few” featuring B Slade. While this album would be a stark contrast from previous ventures such 220, Make America Crip Again and Neva Left, it is not completely bizarre for the west coast O.G. Having released a reggae album under the moniker “Snoop Lion”, the gospel album would add to the growing legacy of the west coast pioneer.
Until March 16th, Snoop Dogg fans can find solace in this project where Snoop sounds like himself while keeping up with the times. Long live Uncle Snoop!
