When you’re Beyonce, anything you do finds itself being the topic of discussion whenever it makes it way to the general public. Taking a stand and provoking thought with her new record, ‘Formation,’ Beyonce has been the focus of discussions almost everywhere for the past week. Celebrating Black culture and addressing the various issues that continue to plague the Black community in 2015, Queen Bey took a stand and went even further to debut the record’s first live performance in front of millions at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show. Being the focus of various news segments, it was only right that “Saturday Night Live” capitalized off the exposure and debuted a hilarious skit that poked fun at the reactions of White people who just might have missed the message that Beyonce was sending to the masses. Titled, “The Day Beyonce Turned Black,” the skit is best described as the end of the world as chaos ensues in reaction to the premiere of ‘Formation’ and it’s accompanying music video. With or without the jokes, the impact that Beyonce has seen with her new record is one for the history books. With much more in store, surely this will be one of many skits that will make its way to “SNL” surrounding Mrs. Carter in 2016. Watch the hilarity, below.
