We’re used to Marshawn Lynch giving interviews that become instant internet sensations. However, today we got to see him open up. Lynch showed up for his league mandated media session and unlike previous interviews Lynch gave a response that was more than his usual one word or phrase answers. Lynch questioned why the reporters continue to bother him even though they know he doesn’t want to talk to them. He didn’t sound angry or accusatory, he just sounded like a guy that wanted to be left alone. Can you really blame the guy? All he wants to do is show up and do his job with out strangers bothering him. A paint stirrer at Home Depot wouldn’t want strangers asking him a bunch of personal questions that answering wrong could cause controversy.
Lynch would go back to his old tight lipped self afterwards, only speaking briefly to give a few shout outs. Lynch gave a shout to his home town of Oakland, his teammates, and Oklahoma City guard Russell Westbrook. Incase you’re wondering “why Westbrook”, Westbrook gave an interview using Lynch’s signature style.
