They’re coming.
The Justice League, the DC Comics equivalent to Marvel’s Avengers is set to hit the big screen in 2015.
Clearly, after the success of The Avengers, Warner Bros. is looking to make some serious dough off of this film. With this film, there will have to be a lot of casting done, especially for the major roles – the only exception may be Superman, but only because he’ll be played by Henry Cavill in the reboot of the Superman franchise next year, and if all goes according to plan, I’m sure they’ll keep him for this movie.
But what about Batman? Christian Bale has stated that he won’t be doing anymore films portraying the Caped Crusader and this could potentially hurt Warner Bros. considering so many fans have grown to love Bale’s take on Bruce Wayne, but then again, whoever they choose will undoubtedly offer something new to the role and audiences may fall for that actor too. Then we have Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern (You think they’ll keep Ryan Reynolds?) and many more.
Who would you want to play those characters?
Check out this excerpt from Variety regarding the film:
“Warner hopes to shoot the film next year and release it in the summer of 2015. The studio already has a “Justice League” script in the works. Next it needs to attach a director and then cast the lead roles.
This is honestly some really, really exciting news. I actually prefer the Justice League over The Avengers, and I pray that the person Warner Bros chooses to direct the film does it justice.
