TMZ reported earlier this year that a promoter in Angola was held for ransom for a period of over two months beginning in December of last year and ending in February of this year due to Nas’ failure to appear at a scheduled show.
American concert promoter Patrick Allocco claimed that Henrique “Riquhino” Miguel and his goons held him for ransom after Nas and his opening act Jemiah Jai were no-shows at their scheduled concert. The men – who apparently worked for the venue – held Allocco for ransom until the $300,000 that had already been wired to Nas and Jai was paid back.
The U.S. embassy eventually stepped in to rescue Allocco and return him and his son home.
Well, now Allocco is attempting to sue Nas for $10 million for psychological and financial issues stemming from this incident.
Nas’ camp has yet to comment.
