Nike continues to push their signature athletes’ sneaker lines. With Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant as the leaders of the Swoosh, we tend to see plenty of colorways for their respective lines. For the most part these colorways will release to the general public but in some instances there are some that don’t. In this case we have the Nike Basketball ‘The Academy’ Collection.
What is “The Academy“:
In an effort to create a premium and seamless basketball experience with the game’s elite, Nike has launched the Nike Basketball Academy. Comprised of some of the best high school athletes and select college basketball players, The Academy allows the sport’s brightest players to compete against the best competition and learn from the games greatest players.
With that being said, the Nike Basketball ‘The Academy’ Collection is in celebration of the tournament like the EYBL Collection. So I would assume we won’t expect to see these release. For the most part the Nike Kyrie 2, Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier 10 and Nike Kobe 11 EM feature a white base with this colorful print. The Nike KD 9 features just a white base with blue on the eyelets, a black swoosh and an icy sole.
I would have to say the standout is probably the Nike Kobe 11 EM. Check out the pictures provided by @regularolty and let us know which is your favorite.
