After a disappointing first game of the NHL All Star game tournament, Pacific over the Central 10-3, we were given a more entertaining second game, this time between the Metropolitan and Atlantic divisions. Wayne Gretzky’s Metropolitan team took down the Atlantic division team 10-6 in the second game of the day.

For the winning team, the Metropolitan, Wayne Simmonds (2), Victor Hedman, John Taveras (2), Seth Jones, Taylor Hall, Sidney Crosby, Cam Atkinson (2), and Alex Ovechkin all scored. Gretzky let us see the Ovechkin-Crosby duo, which led to two goals for the Metro team, including the 10th goal with just one second left on the clock.
The Atlantic division played well early on in the game, but a couple quick goals against, as well as an empty net goal, put them away. Nikita Kucherov (2), Victor Hedman, Erik Karlsson, Auston Matthews, Vincent Trocheck all scored for the Atlantic.
With the win, the Metropolitan division will take on the Pacific, last years winners, in the final game of the 3-on-3 tournament. The Pacific took down the Atlantic division 1-0 in last years game, but with a total of 29 goals scored so far in the first two games, its likely the final game will see more goals than last years.
