The forthcoming year for D.C. Comics is going to be crucial and setting the tone this summer will be Wonder Woman. We got our first look at the movie in the Comic-Con trailer, which was awesome, and now we have a brand new trailer featuring the first lady of the Justice League.
We met Princess Diana in Batman v Superman, but this will serve as the live-action origin of Wonder Woman and the events that made her into the warrior who was introduced to Batman and Superman in Gotham City. In this trailer, we see clips of Diana training with General Antiope (Robin Wright) in what looks like a defining scene in the movie.
Diana will eventually encounter Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) in London where we’ll see some of her war experiences, and there’s still no concrete sighting of any particular villain.
As the third standalone movie of the D.C. Comics universe after Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, the story of Wonder Woman will be ushered in right before Justice League hits theaters in November. Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg all have their solo movies set for after the team-up film.
Wonder Woman hits theaters on June 2.
