The past week has been great for plenty of reasons, but in relation to music, JAY-Z’s new 4:44 album brought about Christmas in June. Since its release, while there hasn’t been much promotion, world of mouth and conversation has made up for it, along with JAY-Z releasing recent footnotes and a visual in support of his album cut, “The Story Of O.J.”
Now, a week later, JAY-Z isn’t stopping and drops off what’s next. Anticipated since teasing it earlier in the week, the accompanying visual for “4:44,” the song, is now available on TIDAL. As with recent visuals from the rapper, it doesn’t lack in any area and the quality only better presents the message, passion, and energy that is felt when listening to the track.
Deemed as a short film, the visual is nothing short of thought provoking. Almost everything involving Jay-Z, there is a reason for it. So with all the different clips used, some being viral clips from the internet and those describing love in a sense, it does come across that a build up to a finale is on display.
Starting things off with the infamous Eartha Kitt clip on love and compromise, you’ll see in the last few clips that theory holds to be true. From Jay and Bey performing together to ending things off with a shot of Blue Ivy.
Left up to interpetation, the ‘4:44’ video is officially available so check it out for yourself.
